2507 Stainless Steel Pipe

2507 stainless steel pipe is a high-performance duplex stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, and good toughness. It is widely used in the chemical, petroleum, and marine engineering industries.

The main components are 25Cr-7Ni-4Mo-0.27N, with small amounts of carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, and sulfur. The low carbon content helps reduce the risk of intergranular corrosion.

The high chromium and molybdenum content provides strong resistance to overall corrosion from organic acids such as formic and acetic acids, as well as inorganic acids, especially those containing chlorides. Compared to 316L, it can be used in dilute hydrochloric acid environments, offering excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. Furthermore, its duplex structure provides high resistance to stress corrosion cracking.

With a tensile strength of >=655MPa, it also offers high compressive and impact strength, capable of withstanding heavy loads and suitable for applications requiring high strength.

It maintains excellent toughness even at low temperatures and is less susceptible to brittle fracture.

Common diameters range from 6mm to 630mm, with wall thicknesses from 0.5mm to 50mm. Shapes include round, square, and rectangular shapes to meet diverse project requirements.

Cold drawing or hot rolling is typically used. Cold drawing improves the precision and finish of the 2507 stainless steel pipe, while hot rolling allows for larger pipe sizes. Both processes ensure dimensional accuracy and surface quality.

2507 stainless steel pipe is widely used in industries such as marine engineering, petrochemicals, nuclear energy, automotive manufacturing, and construction.
